MCJ Advisory was founded by Mike Jordanou following a career working internationally in over 65 countries supporting and advising International Funding Agencies, Governments and Investors in developing transport infrastructure and promoting sustainability and economic growth.
With over 40 years of experience, Mike has advised at Prime Minister, Ministerial and Mayoral level on city-wide multi-modal transport strategies and investment programmes. He has led work for EBRD, the World Bank, EIB, ADB, AfD and EC institutions across projects ranging from €75,000 to €5+ million.
Specialist expertise spans urban multi-modal transport strategy, public transport (bus, BRT, tram, light rail and heavy rail), PPP project design, future mobility, E-mobility and SMART technologies, economic and financial appraisal, and post-conflict reconstruction planning.
Working both in the public and private sectors, Mike has advised Government at the Prime Minister, Ministerial and Mayoral level on city-wide multi-modal transport strategies and investment programmes over the short, medium and long-term time horizons. Private sector involvement includes PPP transaction projects and advising investors on opportunities across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
He is an experienced bid writer, coordinating major bids and leading consortium building to structure strong, credible partnerships. His bid-winning record is exceptional, having secured major international frameworks and projects with several International Financing Institutions, as well as major architects, investors, and investment banks. He also develops detailed methodologies and scopes that strengthen overall bid quality and competitiveness.
